My first and second leather working projects

Leather Work 101

I took Leather Work 101 at the Chicago School of Shoemaking on January 16, 2016. I had been looking for date activities and stumbled upon the class on Verlocal. I had no idea that I was going to end up teaching at the school!

It's fun to look at old projects; good to know that my technique has improved considerably! Looking at the placement of those eyelets makes me wince, though.

Leather Work 201

In my second class, I learned about hand stitching. I made a wallet, but made a poor choice when it came to the weight of the leather. It's too thick; it reminds me of those chain wallets from the '90s, which is to say, not my style.
